Forming Passive Voice
To make a passive sentence, all you have to do is to put the object as the subject of the sentence. Then use the proper form of verb 'be' (am, is, are, was, were) followed by the past participle of the main verb
برای ساختن یک جمله مجهول، تنها کاری که باید انجام دهید این است که مفعول را به عنوان فاعل جمله قرار دهید. سپس از شکل مناسب فعل استفاده کنید و سپس شکل سوم فعل اصلی (اسم مفعول) را قرار دهید. به مثال‌های زیر توجه کنید
The baker bakes the cake. Passive → The cake is baked

The 'active voice' is used to indicate the relationship between the subject and the verb when the subject is the doer of the action. Mostly, using an active voice makes the sentences short, direct, and clear
'فعل معلوم' زمانی استفاده میشود که نشان دهد فاعل جمله انجام‌دهنده عمل است. استفاده از فعل معلوم معمولاً جملات را کوتاه، مستقیم و واضح می‌سازد
'Active voice' normally is comprised of a subject at the beginning of the sentence as the doer of the action followed by either transitive or intransitive verb. In this case, if the verb is transitive, there is a direct object used after it. If the verb is intransitive, we may have a complement at the end of the sentence but not a direct object
'فعل معلوم' معمولاً شامل یک فاعل در ابتدای جمله به عنوان انجام‌دهنده عمل است که به دنبال آن یک فعل لازم یا فعل متعدی می‌آید. در این حالت، اگر فعل متعدی باشد، بعد از آن یک مفعول مستقیم استفاده میشود. اگر فعل لازم باشد، ممکن است یک متمم در انتهای جمله وجود داشته باشد، اما مفعول مستقیم نخواهد بود. به مثال‌های زیر توجه کنید

The man was standing next to my car

One way to identify an 'active voice' is to locate the verb in the sentence and determine whether it is a transitive or an intransitive verb. All sentences with intransitive verbs are in the active voice. Check these examples out for more clarification

Sometimes there is a subject at the beginning of the sentence, but it is actually the receiver of the action not the doer of it. In this case, a passive voice is formed. Look at the examples
گاهی اوقات فاعل در ابتدای جمله وجود دارد، اما در واقع گیرنده عمل است و نه انجام‌دهنده آن. در این حالت، فعل به صورت مجهول تشکیل میشود. به مثال‌های زیر توجه کنید

The girl was robbed

The novel was read by thousands of people

Sometimes the subject or doer of the action is mentioned at the end of the sentence following the preposition 'by.' In this case, a passive voice is used, not an active voice.
در این حالت، فعل مجهول استفاده میشود، نه معلوم
گاهی اوقات فاعل یا انجام‌دهنده عمل در انتهای جمله بعد از حرف اضافه ذکر میشود

Sometimes you cannot see the subject in the sentences but they are implied. One of the most important types of active sentences is the imperative sentence. In imperatives, the subject 'you' is implied but it is still considered an active voice

An active voice can easily be followed by a passive voice. In this case, the subject may be important in the first clause but not in the second clause

Grammarians usually tend to use active voice in writing because it is clear, concise, and easy to understand. However, when it comes to scientific theories, it is often preferred to use the passive voice

The normal order of a sentence is 'subject + verb + (object) +, etc.' When we use the 'passive voice', the order changes. In passive voice, the focus is on the action not on the doer of the action. So, it is not important to know the doer of the action

Transitive verbs need objects to have full meaning. Passive sentences are only formed with transitive verbs
افعال متعدی برای داشتن معنای کامل به مفعول نیاز دارند. جملات مجهول فقط با افعال متعدی تشکیل می‌شوند. مثال‌ها را مقایسه کنید
The cook makes the dinner
